ISLAMABAD: In a startling turn of events, Qaiser Khan Khattak, known for his uncompromising methods as the Chairman CDA’s enforcer, has made a surprising comeback to the Human Resource Development (HRD) directorate, raising eyebrows among employees and the public alike. Khattak’s unexpected return comes amidst a backdrop of controversies plaguing the Capital Development Authority (CDA), as it grapples with criticism over its handling of key positions.
Initially assigned to the Environment Wing following demands from CDA employees for representation in decision-making processes, Khattak’s tenure was cut short after just three months due to underwhelming performance. Despite initiating positive changes within the Environment Directorate, Khattak encountered resistance from within the department owing to his stringent approach. Prior to his stint in the Environment Directorate, Khattak gained notoriety for his rigorous overhaul of the Land and Estate Directorate, earning both praise for his efficacy and enmity from influential adversaries.
Insiders suggest that Khattak’s return to the HRD directorate may herald further transformations and potentially tough decisions, contrasting with the management style of his predecessor, Safdar Shah. While Chairman CDA maintains an impeccable track record, questions linger over the sustainability of his team amidst a politically turbulent climate. Sources said Safdar Shah has put numerous important inquiries under the carpet which annoyed chairman of the authority.
Khattak’s resurgence in the HRD directorate signals a shift in the CDA’s operational dynamics, potentially leading to significant policy changes and personnel reshuffles. His track record of implementing reforms, coupled with his reputation for strict enforcement, indicates a proactive approach towards addressing the organization’s challenges. However, the chairman’s ability to maintain cohesion within his team amidst external pressures remains a subject of scrutiny, especially in light of ongoing political turbulence. As Khattak assumes his new role, stakeholders will closely monitor the unfolding developments within the CDA, anticipating the impact of his leadership on the organization’s trajectory.
