ISLAMABAD: In a strategic move to enhance digital infrastructure, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has greenlit the development of Pakistan’s largest IT park. Under the directive of the Chairman and Member Technology and Digitalization, CDA aims to swiftly digitize its operations while providing top-notch IT amenities to citizens.
The approved IT park, spanning 3.3 acres in Sector G-10 of Islamabad, will operate under a Public Private Partnership model. With a planned covered area of 1 lakh square feet, the park is projected to accommodate 5 to 6 thousand freelancers. It will offer dedicated spaces for freelancers, startups, software houses, libraries, IT product exhibitions, research centers, conference halls, and meeting rooms.

Private entities will shoulder the construction costs, with the park set to be transferred to CDA after 15 years. Companies can also lease space to establish IT offices within the premises. This initiative not only boosts CDA’s revenue but also ensures the provision of cutting-edge IT facilities to Islamabad residents. Emphasizing the organization’s commitment to modernizing the capital city, CDA administration underscores the priority of providing comprehensive amenities to visitors and residents alike.
