RAWALPINDI: In a display of swift action and maritime prowess, the Pakistan Navy successfully executed a rescue operation to save eight Iranian fishermen stranded amidst a blazing vessel in the open sea. Responding promptly to a distress call, the PN vessel PNS Yarmook navigated through the turbulent waters to reach the scene of the incident, ISP said in a statement on Monday. Under the banner of humanitarian principles, PNS Yarmook swiftly and efficiently carried out the rescue operation, ensuring the safe retrieval of all fishermen involved. Not only did the vessel secure the lives of those in peril, but it also played a pivotal role in quelling the rampant fire that threatened to engulf the entire ship.
ISPR added the timely and effective response showed by the Pakistan Navy serves as a testament to its preparedness and commitment to safeguarding lives at sea. This successful rescue operation not only underscores the Navy’s operational capabilities but also highlights its dedication to upholding humanitarian values in the maritime domain.
The Pakistan Navy’s unwavering resolve to protect human life and its ability to navigate and mitigate maritime emergencies reinforce its pivotal role as a guardian of safety and security at sea.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, expressed his profound appreciation for Pakistan Navy’s proactive and conscientious efforts in rescuing eight Iranian fishermen from imminent danger.
Ambassador Moghadam emphasized the longstanding bond of mutual support and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, particularly highlighting the commitment of both nations to stand by each other during challenging times. The successful rescue operation underscored the significance of bilateral relations, reinforcing the solidarity and brotherhood shared between the two countries.
The professionalism and vigilance exhibited by Pakistan Navy personnel during the rescue operation were lauded by Ambassador Moghadam, who commended their dedication to upholding maritime safety and humanitarian principles.
