ISLAMABAD: In a demonstration of solidarity with the people of Gaza, Pakistan has dispatched another relief consignment comprising 400 tons of essential supplies. Foreign office (FO) said in a statement on Sunday that the shipment, including food items, medical supplies, and other relief goods, is scheduled to depart from Karachi port for Port Said in Egypt.
A formal handing over ceremony took place at Karachi port, where Palestinian Ambassador Ahmad Rabaie received the consignment. The event was attended by Additional Foreign Secretary Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali, representatives of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), and various relief organizations.
Upon arrival at Port Said, the shipment will be received by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt and subsequently handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for onward delivery to Gaza.
