“Educational institu- tions including schools are being digitized in line with the modern needs,” said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a meet ing with a delegation of ADM Holding Limited, led by its Senior Advi- sor Mr Umar Farooq. She added, “The latest computer tabs will be provided to teachers in schools to improve upon the preparation and attendance of their lessons.” Madam Chief Minister said, “Digi- tization will be com pleted through public private partnership.” She added, “Youth, es- pecially women, can be empowered using ICT skills, because by free lancing, they can take Approves Rs 13 Lac for treatment of Prof SM Mansoor the path of self-em- ployment.”Chief Minister Mar yam Nawaz Sharif highlighted, “The start of free Wi-Fi service in Lahore is a right step in this direction.” She added, “This service will be gradually ex- panded to other cities of the province after Lahore.Earlier, the senior advisor ADM Holding Limited gave a briefing on the provision of in ternet in schools. The possibilities of mutual cooperation in educa tion, health, housing and other sectors in Punjab were also dis-cussed in the meeting. Both leaders agreed in principle to coop erate for the estab lishment of video gaming centers for international competi tions. The delegation of ADM Holding Limited also offered to estab- lish entertainment are na, boxing and football academy in Lahore. Madam Chief Minis-ter directed the Sports Minister to review prospects of cooper ation with ADM Holder ing Limited’s delega tion. The meeting also reviewed ADM Hold ing Limited’s interest in partnering for the issuance of vehicle number plates and digitization of land record system in Pun- jab.Mr Umar Farooq appreciated the vi sion of public service of Chief Minister Mar- yam Nawaz Sharif. He said,” The Chief Min ister is carrying out meeting.valuable projects for the welfare of people in Punjab.” Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and the Provincial Minister for School Education Rana Sikandar Hayat attended the meet- ing. Secretary High Education, School Education, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and other relevant officers were also present in the Meanwhilem Pun- jab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved Rs 13 lakh aid for the treatment of renowned visual artist, author and art educationist Pro- fessor SM Mansoor, who is undergoing treatment at Pakistan Kidney and Liver In- stitute (PKLI) for a liver disease. She said, “The Punjab govern- ment will provide Rs. 4.5 lakh annually for the treatment of Pro- fessor SM Mansoor for three years.” She add- ed, “Prof. SM Mansoor will be able to get free treatment from PKLI.”Professor SM Mansoor has ren- dered important ser vices in the field of cultural heritage. His famous works include ‘Logos from Pakistan’ and ‘Mansoor’s Minia- tures.” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif appreciated the ser- vices of Professor SM Mansoor in the Depart- ment of Fine Arts, and expressed best wishes for his complete and early recovery.
