A delegation of Shia Ulema Council met with Provincial Health Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee for Law and Order Khawaja Salman Rafiq in Lahore. Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq and the delegation discussed security arrangements during Muharram. Provincial Minister of Health and Chairman Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Khawaja Salman Rafique said extraordinary security arrangements will be ensured during Muharram.
A special security plan has been arranged for Majlis, processions, sabil, Niaz and Izadari. Khawaja Salman Rafiq directed the police to make fool-proof security arrangements during Muharram and said that the Ittehad bin Muslimin and peace committees should play a proactive role throughout the province. Scholars should play their positive role for unity among Muslims during Muharram. The delegation members said that the security plan arranged by the Punjab government for Muharram is foolproof. Qasim Ali Qasmi, Sagheer Abbas Wark and Safdar Hussain Jafari were included in the Shia Ulama Council delegation.
