ISLAMABAD : Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has inaugurated a media facilitation centre to facilitate the local and international journalists in the coverage of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government Summit. Federal Information Secretary Ambreen Jan, Principal Information Officer Mubashar Hassan and Ministry of Information officials also attended the inauguration ceremony. Representatives of local and international media will be facilitated at the media centre for the coverage of the SCO event scheduled to be held in the capital on Oct 15 and 16. The media set-up at Pak-China Friendship Center is equipped with the latest facilities including computer lab, high-speed internet, digital printer, digital studio, podcast studio, media library and conference room. Digital library in the media facilitation centre has been established by the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications. An information desk is also set up in the media centre to facilitate local and international journalists. Journalists covering the event will get round-the-clock facilities at the centre.
