Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar has directed all heads of regions, districts, and units to clear relevant audit para objections as soon as possible. IG Punjab instructed that DDOs or officers of SP rank ensure their presence in meetings related to audit paras and verify the working papers of audit para objections from the DG Audit before submitting them to the relevant committees. Dr. Usman Anwar further emphasized that the clearance of audit para objections must be in line with the timeline provided by the Home Department. DDOs should prioritize clearing the audit para objections from their current assignments, along with addressing the objections from previous periods. He shared these views while presiding over a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office today. During the meeting, IG Punjab reviewed the pending audit para objections related to various regions and districts. RPOs, CPO, DPOs, and DDOs briefed the meeting on the audit para objections cleared in Public Accounts and other relevant committees. Additional IG Special Branch Zulfiqar Hameed, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Additional IGPs, DIGs, and senior officers attended the meeting, while the Additional IG South Punjab, MD Punjab Safe Cities Authority, RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, PHP, Elite, and all unit heads participated via video link.
