ISLAMABAD: Expressing his dissatisfaction over the qualityof petrol sold at the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) outlets, Parliament’sPublic Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman MNA Noor Alam Khan on Thursdaydirected the secretary petroleum to submit to the committee details ofsalaries of the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) officials.
He also asked him as to when petroleum products’ prices would come down.
“For God’s sake, reduce these products’ prices,” he said, adding, “Afterall prices have come down in the international market.
”PAC chairman also admonished the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)officials, saying they had failed to satisfy him.
The FBR chairman told the meeting that an attempt was made to hack theBoard’s website in 2021, which was foiled.
Chairman Noor Alam also directed that gas connections be opened. “Thisis for the second time I am instructing you,” he said. -NNI
