IG Punjab reviewed the pending challan ratio and directed the immediate removal of any obstacles hindering their completion. Dr. Usman Anwar said that effective investigation, the arrest of proclaimed offenders, and timely challaning are the primary requirements of justice. A task list should be created for the arrest of proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes such as murder, robbery, and abduction. Investigation officers should be given 15-day targets for the arrest of proclaimed offenders, and regular follow-ups should be conducted. IG Punjab directed the supervisory officer to self-monitor the resolution of complaints on CM Complaint, IG Complaint 1787, Virtual Women Police Stations, and other portals. Focus on preventing robberies, burglaries, motorcycle, and cattle thefts. Night patrolling should be purposeful and effective, and response to 15 calls should be further improved. Expand the scope of intelligence-based operations to eliminate organised crimes and drug dealers. Instead of unnecessary punishments, improve the performance of officials with a focus on reform. Continue search, sweep, and combing operations to suppress anti-state and disruptive elements. Dr Usman Anwar also directed to take comprehensive measures for the security of mosques, places of worship, and citizens during the month of Ramadan. The Additional IG Operations Punjab, Additional IG Investigation, DIG Operations Punjab, DIG Security, AIG Operations, and DPO Rahim Yar Khan were present at the meeting.
