No effort should be spared to make Islamabad the most beautiful city in the world, says CDA Chairman

ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the CDA was held at the CDA headquarters on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa. In which CDA Member Environment, Member Planning, Member Engineering and other senior officers participated. The meeting discussed in detail the need to make Islamabad more beautiful and attractive as well as to plant eco-friendly plants and trees and plantation campaigns.
While giving a briefing, the meeting was informed that five important highways of the city have been initially selected for beautification, including Expressway, Margalla Road, Club Road, Park Road and Faisal Avenue. Special attention is being paid to lane marking, footpath repair, median strips, green belts and beautification of right-of-way on these highways. The meeting was further informed that renovation of all major roundabouts, improvement of mega parks, restoration of water fountains, and urban forest projects have been given priority to reduce water and land pollution. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa was informed that under this project of renovation and beautification of highways, horticulture and landscaping work will be done on model highways as well as seasonal flowers will be planted at appropriate places. Similarly, beautiful planters and wooden planks are being used on these highways, which are being well received by the citizens. Similarly, natural stones (boulders) will also be placed along the highways for beauty. Similarly, modern lighting arrangements are also being ensured on these highways. The meeting was further informed that on the directions of the Chairman CDA, complete upgradation of parks in each sector will be done, which will include tracks, swings, modern lighting and horticultural works.
