ISLAMABAD: : An important meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Admin, Member Planning, Member Engineering, Member State CDA and senior officers of ICT, as well as DG Punjab Land and Revenue (PLRA). DG PLRA gave a detailed briefing on the progress so far on the project to digitize the land records of CDA’s Estate Management, Land Department and ICT on modern lines.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that no effort should be spared to digitize the records of ICT and CDA because after computerization and digitization of records, not only will the public get great help in making it possible to transfer, convey, buy and sell their properties, while the land records and related files of CDA and ICT will also be made completely safe. He said that a paperless system is being introduced in CDA.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the ICT wing of CDA to provide full cooperation to the relevant committee in this regard while also directing the member state CDA to personally monitor the land computerization project so that any kind of problem can be resolved immediately.

Earlier, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa paid a surprise visit to the CDA Nursery located at Park Road Islamabad where he reviewed the progress made in the upgradation, renovation and conversion of the CDA Nursery into Gardenia Hub. On this occasion, the concerned officers briefed the Chairman CDA that the CDA Nursery, spread over an area of ​​50 acres, is being developed at a cost of Rs 652.819 million and the aim of this project is to convert the existing CDA Nursery into a model nursery in which various facilities will be provided.

The Chairman CDA said that the Gardenia Hub project will be considered an important center of horticulture in the future. He said that the construction of modern and beautiful flower shops including a cafe should be started soon under the said project. The CDA Chairman said that modern controlled and ventilated greenhouses should be built in the unique and naturally beautiful nursery and that nursery facilities should also be provided for tissue propagation in the project.
