Lahore:On the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police’s Khidmat Marakaz are actively engaged in providing digital services to the public. In continuation of this initiative, more than 1,008,000 citizens have availed policing services from the Khidmat Marakaz so far this year.Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details, stating that over 534,000 citizens obtained general police verifications, more than 251,000 acquired police character certificates, and over 127,000 citizens registered tenant information. Additionally, more than 43,600 citizens received medico-legal certificates. Under initiatives for the protection of vulnerable segments, 39,000 individuals were provided legal and social protection. Over 12,000 citizens availed vehicle verification services. More than 26,000 citizens registered document loss reports, and 1,377 registered crime reports. Furthermore, 48,000 citizens received copies of FIRs, and 10 cases of women violence were reported. A total of 3,121 citizens completed employee registration (ROPE), and 1,123 individuals obtained police verification for private employment. IG Punjab stated that Khidmat Marakaz are a flagship public service delivery project, providing 24/7 facilities to the public. Millions of citizens across the province, including Lahore, are benefiting from these centers each month. Based on citizen feedback, the services are continuously being upgraded.
