Lahore :Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar has directed law enforcement agencies to increase security across the province, including the capital city of Lahore, amid the ongoing tense situation in the country.In an official statement on Thursday, IGP Anwar confirmed that Punjab Police is on high alert, and all operational, strategic, and logistical preparations are fully in place to tackle any potential emergency.“The Punjab Police stands fully prepared to ensure peace, public safety, and immediate response in case of any untoward incident,” he said. “We are closely monitoring the situation and remain ready to respond swiftly to any challenge.”The IGP further emphasized that Punjab Police is working in close coordination with the district administration, Civil Defense, and Rescue 1122 to maintain law and order and conduct relief operations if required.
