Lahore:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s mission of providing own roof for the families of police martyrs continues. In continuation of this mission, IG Punjab has provided a house to the family of another police officer who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. A house worth 13.5 million rupees has been purchased for the family of Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed. Spokesperson of Punjab Police shared that a house has been purchased and provided in Azizabad area of Rahim Yar Khan according to the preference of the martyr’s family. Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed embraced martyrdom in 2024 due to firing by dacoits at a checkpoint during duty. The family of Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed includes his parents, four brothers, and four sisters. Upon the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released the funds for the house of the martyr’s family. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the eternal sacrifice of Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed and said that Constable Imtiaz Ahmed embraced martyrdom while performing his duties without caring for his own life.
