Lahore:On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Driving Training Schools of Punjab Police are actively engaged in providing services to citizens. In continuation of these efforts, citizens are being trained in 127 Driving Training Schools of Punjab Police. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that this year, more than 171,000 citizens have been taught driving at these schools. Among those learning driving, over 150,000 were men, 20,000 were women, 470 women received motorcycle driving training, and 360 transgender persons were also trained. Three additional Driving Training Schools have been established this year.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that providing a driving license to every driver citizen is our mission. In the Driving Training Centers, citizens are also being made aware of road safety, driving licensing, and traffic education. Dr. Usman Anwar said that driving without a license is a crime, and it is extremely important for driver citizens to possess a license. Citizens can apply online for learner, regular license renewal, learner license, and duplicate license. This year, more than 3.19 million citizens have been issued driving licenses.
