RAWALPINDI:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting seven operations across the country, recovered as many as 416.405 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 5.188 million and arrested twelve suspects, said the ANF Headquarters spokesman on Thursday.He informed that 1.2 kgs of hashish were recovered from the luggage of a Qatar-bound passenger at Multan International Airport. In another operation,9.6 kgs of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Mandara Toll Plaza and five suspects were arrested. As many as 400 kgs of cannabis were recovered from a vehicle near Liaquatpur, Rahim Yar Khan and two suspects were arrested.Similarly,3 kgs of heroin were recovered from the possession of two suspects near Railway Gate Kasur, Lahore.As much as 2 kgs of ice were recovered from a motorcycle rider in Hayatabad, Peshawar. 355 grams of ecstasy pills were recovered from a passenger in public transport near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza.During another operation near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, 250 grams of weed were recovered from a passenger travelling in a public transport.  Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
