CHINIOT,: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) took strong action against the adulteration mafia on Tuesday, checking the quality of over 4,000 liters of milk using Lactoscan machines in 20 milk trucks and milk shops.According to PFA spokesman, the operation resulted in the discarding 120 liters of adulterated milk and a fine of Rs. 10,500 for poor quality.Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza led the operation, emphasizing the authority’s commitment to ensuring food safety. Alongside milk inspections, food safety teams also checked various catering centers and food points, uncovering poor cleanliness and drainage arrangements.
During the inspections, it was found that workers lacked medical screening certificates. As a result, a fine of Rs. 18,500 was imposed. Additionally, 65 liters of expired beverages were destroyed to protect public health.
