ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 14 outlaws, including nine individuals involved in various criminal activities and five proclaimed offenders and absconders, during multiple operations carried out across the federal capital on Thursday.A police spokesman told APP that the teams from Golra, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sangjani, Humak, Nilore, and Bhara Kahu police stations conducted raids and apprehended nine accused. The police recovered 2,170 grams of hashish, 175 grams of ice, and six pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
He said cases have been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations are underway.He said, during a special campaign launched to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams also arrested five more criminals.He said the operations were conducted under the special direction of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of the ongoing crackdown against crime and anti-social elements to ensure peace and security in the capital.He said the Islamabad Police is fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, and no one will be allowed to disrupt public order.
