LAHORE :Six suspected robbers were eliminated in alleged police encounters in different areas of the city, Dunya News reported here on Monday.According to Crime Control Department (CCD), the suspects were involved in serious crimes including robbery, looting and shooting.In Chung, six suspected robbers were committing a crime in a house when CCD police engaged them and killed three robbers in an exchange of fire. They were history-sheeters.In Shahdra, two robbers were killed in an alleged encounter with the Kotwali CCD team. One robber was identified as Mukhtar alias Mukhtare.In Model Town, a CCD team raided an area near Phase 9 Ring Road. Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire. One robber was killed in the crossfire. The slain robber has been identified as Haroon.
