LAHORE:Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, paid tribute to the police martyrs on the eighth anniversary of the suicide attack at Arfa Karim Tower in Lahore. IG Punjab said, “We salute the brave sons who laid down their lives in the line of duty and extend heartfelt respect to their families.” According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, on this very day in 2017, eight officers and personnel of Punjab Police embraced martyrdom in the suicide attack at Arfa Karim Tower. Among the martyrs were Sub-Inspector Riaz Ahmed, Assistant Sub-Inspector Fayyaz Ahmed, and Constables Sajjad Ali, Abid Ali, Ali Raza, Ghulam Murtaza, Umair Ghani, and Moazzam Ali, who sacrificed their lives while performing their duty with utmost courage and dedication.
