LAHORE:Participants from the 4th batch of the ongoing Internship Program at the National Institute of Public Policy visited the Central Police Office. The delegation included 16 students from various colleges and universities, pursuing M.Phil, M.S., B.S., and A-Level degrees. Additional IG Training Punjab, Tariq Rustam Chohan, met with the delegation. AIG Operations Punjab, Zahid Nawaz Marwat, was also present on the occasion. During the meeting, Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chohan briefed the participants that Punjab Police is focused on the prompt registration of cases, specialized investigations, and technology-based training. Improvements in services have been achieved through infrastructure development, crime record and human resource management systems, and IT reforms. Police Khidmat Marakaz, Tahaffuz Marakaz & Misaaq Centers are unique public service projects across Pakistan. There has been a significant increase in welfare measures for the force and their families, including health, higher education, and other welfare initiatives. AIG Operations briefed the students about the challenges faced by the Punjab Police, its working, and strategic policies. The delegation was briefed about law and order, crime control, operations, investigations, traffic management, and public service delivery. Both Additional IG Training and AIG Operations Punjab also answered various questions raised by the delegation.
