Lahore,: The Little Art, a leading arts education organization in Pakistan, is sending a youth delegation to represent the country at the 4th Salam International Youth Film Festival, to be held from 24 to 29 August 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The delegation includes three young girls, accompanied by Umair Mushtaq, Interim Director of The Little Art, who will serve as their chaperone. Representing Pakistan on a global stage, the group will join over 300 young filmmakers, artists, and cultural ambassadors from more than 20 countries in a vibrant exchange of ideas through film screenings, workshops, and intercultural activities. This marks The Little Art’s third participation in the Salam Festival (following 2023 and 2024), continuing its mission to spotlight Pakistan’s emerging creative voices internationally. Since 2013, the organization has enabled youth representation at major cultural events in Qatar, Iran, Italy, and Azerbaijan, empowering young people through the arts.In a gesture of diplomatic support, H.E. Qasim Mohiuddin, Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, will host a special lunch in honor of the delegation on 28 August at the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku.“This trip is not only about representing Pakistan,” said Umair Mushtaq, “but about showing the world the creativity, confidence, and cultural depth of our youth. We believe in amplifying young voices and giving them meaningful spaces to be seen and heard, both at home and internationally.”Salam International Youth Film Festival serves as a powerful platform for cross-cultural dialogue, youth leadership, and creative expression making the participation of Pakistani youth all the more significant.
