ISLAMABAD:An officer of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), Inspector Waqar Ahmed Satti, lost his life in the line of duty after being hit by a speeding motorcycle on Murree’s IMDC N-75 North Angoori Road.According to the NHMP statement, Inspector Waqar Satti was on duty at Beat 01, Sector Murree, when a motorcyclist, reportedly driving recklessly and negligently, struck him. The officer sustained critical injuries and was immediately shifted to Akbar Niaz Hospital, Bhara Kahu, where he succumbed to his wounds.The Motorway Police paid tribute to the martyred officer, acknowledging his dedication and sacrifice for the country. “His memory will always remain alive. We pray that Allah Almighty grants him the highest rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous and gives courage to the bereaved family,” the statement added.
