ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police continues its process of departmental promotions with a dignified rank pinning ceremony held at Safe City Headquarters.An official told APP that 201 constables were recently promoted to the rank of Head Constable (BS-09) across different cadres, alongside other officers elevated in earlier rounds of promotions.During the ceremony, DG Safe City / DIG Headquarters Muhammad Haroon Joya served as the chief guest, formally pinning new ranks on the promoted officers. Senior officers were also present and extended their congratulations.According to details, besides the 201 constables,11 Sub-Inspectors were promoted to Inspector (BS-16), 62 Head Constables to Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11), and four Inspectors to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP, BS-17). Officials noted that this series of promotions reflects the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi’s commitment to merit, welfare, and career growth within the force.In his remarks, DG Safe City praised the dedication of the newly promoted officers, stating that promotions are both recognition and responsibility. He urged them to continue serving with professionalism, courage, and integrity, ensuring justice and security for citizens.The officers expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that such promotions boost morale and strengthen commitment to their duties.
