MIRPURKHAS:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 21 people, including Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) staff and local agents, for allegedly embezzling funds meant for deserving women in Sindh, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Mirpurkhas on Thursday.According to the details,  the arrests were made during operations in Mirpurkhas district’s Jhudo tehsil, as part of a major crackdown on financial irregularities.Those arrested include BISP staff members, franchise owners, and agents, who are accused of making unauthorized deductions and stealing money from the program.Cases have been registered against them at the FIA Police Station, and they’ve been presented before the Consumer Court for remand. The FIA Crime Circle Mirpurkhas registered a case under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
