LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved a project regarding a beautification plan to be launched in every city of the province.In this connection,132 beautification schemes will be completed in 39 districts of Punjab at a cost of Rs16.5 billion. Work has been started on 122 beautification schemes. Furthermore, it has been decided to ensure strict implementation of the ban on wall chalking across Punjab, while it has been decided to transform unruly encroachments into beauty and clean the walls by ending wall chalking.On the instructions of Maryam Nawaz, for the first time in history, wall chalking will be stopped on government and private buildings and the walls will be cleaned.
The target of completing beautification schemes in Lahore, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sargodha, Gujarat, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi by next June has been set, Multan by November, 24 beautification schemes in Gujranwala and Sahiwal will be completed by next March, along with the upgradation of roads and markets in each city, as well as the installation of tough tiles.
