ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (NNI): Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has appealed the nation to help the flood victims.
Talking to the media on Saturday, she said that there has been 190% more rains in Pakistan and 400% more rains in Balochistan. “A large area of Sindh has been affected by floods. People’s cattle and property have been severely damaged. Buildings in Swat, Mingora and other areas have also been washed away.”
The minister said that the prime minister has announced an aid of Rs15 billion for Sindh.
“Overseas Pakistanis should actively participate in helping the flood victims. Pakistan is among the 10 countries who affected by climate change. More than 1,000 deaths have occurred. Donation for flood victims can be done by sending an SMS to 9999. All resources are being utilized to help the flood victims,” she concluded. NNI
