ISLAMABAD:The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has launched the National Inspector Pilot Training Program, marking a major step toward modernizing and standardizing the accreditation processes of medical and dental institutions. The initiative introduces Pakistan’s first digital inspection system and aims to build a highly trained, national pool of inspectors to ensure quality, transparency, and compliance in medical and dental education. The three-day pilot training was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, President PM&DC, who described the program as a milestone in strengthening inspection standards and advancing digital transformation within the national accreditation system.Dr. Taj expressed deep appreciation for the guidance and support of the Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, noting that the Minister’s forward-looking leadership has enabled PM&DC to undertake key reforms with greater efficiency. He said the Minister’s consistent facilitation has helped create an environment where regulatory bodies can operate with autonomy, clarity, and purpose—ultimately uplifting the quality of medical and dental education across the country. The training brought together master trainers and inspectors from across Pakistan for hands-on sessions, including demonstrations of Digi-Inspect, the country’s first fully digital inspection platform, along with an overview of the updated Inspector Guide.
