ISLAMABAD:Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday met Yemeni Ambassador Mohammed Motahar Alashabi at the CDA Headquarters to discuss matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation.During the meeting, the Yemeni ambassador expressed his deep affection for Pakistan, describing it as a brotherly country, and appreciated the CDA’s initiatives for the development and beautification of the federal capital.Randhawa said comprehensive measures were under way to further develop Islamabad and enhance its aesthetic appeal.He added that the meeting also discussed the relocation of embassies and diplomatic missions to the Diplomatic Enclave.The Yemeni envoy showed keen interest in shifting the Embassy of Yemen to the Diplomatic Enclave and discussed possible modalities in this regard.Assuring full support, the CDA chairman said the authority would provide complete facilitation for the relocation of the Yemeni embassy and extend cooperation in all related matters.Randhawa also said steps were being taken to upgrade and further beautify the Diplomatic Enclave, including the enhancement of recreational and sports facilities.Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting mutual cooperation.
