ISLAMABAD:Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office to review administrative reforms and operational matters of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.A police spokesperson told dateline on Sunday that the meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen, along with officers from the Administration and Accounts branches.During the meeting, the DIG Jameel reviewed issues related to motor transport (MT), rationalisation of manpower, pending matters of the Establishment branch, and ongoing projects of the Development branch in detail.

The spokesperson said special focus was given to assessing progress on development works and public facilitation projects at police stations of ICT Police. The DIG Jameel issued clear instructions to ensure timely completion of these projects and improve service delivery for citizens.Welfare-related matters of police officers and personnel were also discussed, including provision of facilities and resolution of their administrative issues.The meeting also reviewed the capacity of the Anti-Riot Force, with directions issued to enhance training standards, improve resources and align the force with modern operational requirements.The DIG Jameel directed all concerned officers to further improve departmental performance, handle administrative affairs professionally and adopt practical measures to address existing challenges.He emphasised that better public service delivery, welfare of police officers and personnel, and overall institutional improvement of ICT Police remain top priorities, and no compromise will be made on these matters.
