ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police are actively performing their duties round-the-clock to ensure the security of major government offices and buildings in addition to diplomatic missions in the
Federal Capital.An official told Dateline on Monday that Islamabad Police were taking comprehensive measures to
ensure security in the federal capital.He said that police officers and personnel were effectively performing their duties to ensure thesecurity of embassies, UN offices and other buildings located in the Diplomatic Enclave.Senior police officers, during their visits, directed the personnel deployed on duty to remain alert and perform their responsibilities with utmost vigilance, adding that the protection of offices and diplomatic missions located in the high-security zone was of critical importance. They further directed that the record of all individuals entering the high-security zone should be roperly maintained and that vehicles and motorcycles should be thoroughly checked during security inspections.  All government and embassy employees have also been advised to carry their official service cards and cooperate with the police personnel during the identification process. The official said that Islamabad Police were utilizing all available resources to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.
