ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (NNI): Federal Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail hassaid that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Board has approves therevival of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Program.In a message on Twitter on Monday, he said: “Alhamdolillah the IMF Boardhas approved the revival of our EFF program. We should now be gettingthe 7th and 8th tranche of $1.17 billion. I want to thank the PrimeMinister Shehbaz Sharif for taking so many tough decisions and savingPakistan from default. I congratulate the nation.”Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has also endorsedthe revival of the IMF EEF program.In a tweet, he said: “The IMF has approves Pakistan Programme despitePTI’s treacherous act!”Earlier addressing a press conference in Islamabad today, FinanceMinister Miftah Ismail has said that the PTI has crossed all limits andtheir real faces have been exposed before the people.Responding to the alleged audio call of former finance minister ShaukatTarin, he said that the PTI should be ashamed for hatching a conspiracyagainst the entire country. “There will be no PTI if there will be nocountry. Imran Khan should apologize to the nation,” he demanded.The minister was of the view that the government saved the country frombankruptcy by restoring the agreement with the IMF and put theirpolitics at stake.He said that the prime minister and federal ministers are visiting theflood-hit areas. “The PM has announced to give Rs15 and Rs7 billion toSindh and Balochistan respectively,” he added.Miftah Ismail said that Shaukat Tarin had done a very cheap act. “Wepreferred the country to politics.
