LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday met police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office and issued directions for immediate resolution of their problems.
During the meeting, the IGP listened to various issues raised by officials and their family members and directed the concerned officers to ensure prompt relief.According to details, on an application regarding promotion of Head Constable Sher Afzal, the Additional IG Punjab was directed to provide relief. Similarly, on promotion applications of Constables Muhammad Naveed and Akbar Ali, the Additional IG was asked to consider the matters.On the transfer application of Lady Sanitary Worker Maria Qaiser, necessary directions were issued to the Additional IG Training, while DIG Establishment-II was directed to address the transfer request of Constable Muhammad Ateeq.In another case, directions were issued to the Additional IG Punjab regarding the transfer application concerning the son of retired Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yaqoob. The IG also directed the Additional IG to consider promotion applications of eight legal inspectors.The IGP further issued orders on various other applications related to discipline, administration, promotion and welfare of police personnel.
