Ishaq Dar lands in Pakistan after 5 years of self-exile

ISLAMABAD, Sep 26 (NNI): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ishaq Dar landed in Islamabad on Monday night from London.
Former finance minister Ishaq Dar was accompanied by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Ali Dar.
He landed in his homeland after spending five years in London in self-imposed exile. From day one, Ishaq Dar was of the opinion that the cases against him were political nature.
According to details, Ishaq Dar has arrived in Islamabad to take charge of the Finance Minister, who will be sworn in as a Senator on Monday and as a Finance Minister on Wednesday.
It is pertinent, after two days-long consultation meetings of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leadership in London, it was finally decided that Ishaq Dar would return to his homeland along with PM Shehbaz on his plane.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif nominated Senator Ishaq Dar as the Finance Minister.
The nominated finance minister Ishaq Dar will take oath as Senator on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Later, he will also take an oath of the post of Finance Minister on the same day replacing the sitting Finance Minister Miftah Ismail. NNI
