Passenger train service to Karachi will restart from October 2

ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (NNI): A meeting headed by Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique decided to resume passenger train service to Karachi from October 2.
The restoration will be made phase-wise. Pakistan Railways has taken this decision in view of the difficulties of the passengers.
It has been decided the 2 trains previously restored trains – Khyber Mail Express and Rehman Baba Express – will be on track to Karachi on the 2nd of October instead of Rohri.
The meeting also decided to restore Karakoram Express, Karachi Express and Pak Business Express between Lahore and Karachi from October 5, 2022.
The average duration of trains running between Lahore and Karachi is kept at around 22 hours. All these trains will be run with additional coaches.
Travel distance will be reviewed after 30 days and reduced gradually. NNI
