ISLAMABAD, Nov 07 (NNI): As winter sets in, the persons dealing in dry fruit have launched a money-making spree.
Citizens have made an appeal to the authorities concerned to rein in the profiteers.
Almonds are being sold at Rs2,000 per kg and figs at Rs 1800 per kg. The per kg rates of apricots and dates are Rs1200 and Rs1800 respectively
Groundnuts are being sold for Rs 650 per gram.
Such a price hike has become a common phenomenon, the people complained adding that the government should wake up to fix this issue. NNI
