KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy is actively engaged in extensive Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations in the remote coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
In recent developments, the Pakistan Navy’s Emergency Response Teams, working in coordination with local authorities, have successfully carried out the evacuation of personnel and provided essential supplies to affected communities. Over 17,000 inhabitants from various coastal areas, including Keti Bandar, Kharo Chan, Shah Bandar, Baghan, Sujawal, Chuhar Jamali, and Jati City, have been safely evacuated. Furthermore, 46 fishing boats belonging to the local populace of Ormara city have been provided shelter at Ormara Naval Harbour. The Pakistan Navy’s ships and Emergency Response Teams are actively patrolling the sea and affected areas to promptly respond to distress calls from seafarers.
