ISLAMABAD: Eng. Waleed Abdulkarim El Khereji, Saudi Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ms Hina Rabbani Khar Tuesday. The meeting was attended by a high-level and diverse delegation representing various Saudi ministries including Foreign Affairs, Energy, Health, Environment, Agriculture, Industry, and Mineral Resources, as well as Investment.
During the productive encounter, Minister of State Ms Hina Rabbani Khar extended a warm welcome to the Saudi delegation and expressed her contentment with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations. Ms Khar also commended the Kingdom’s keen interest in exploring potential investment opportunities within Pakistan. She took the opportunity to brief the Saudi delegation on the establishment of a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), aimed at expediting and streamlining potential investments from GCC member states, with a special focus on Saudi Arabia.
Apart from economic matters, the meeting delved into regional and global issues that are of mutual concern, reflecting the two nations’ shared commitment to collaboration on various fronts.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s longstanding relationship, characterized by mutual trust, understanding, and robust cooperation across various domains, has been a cornerstone of their foreign policy.
