RAWALPINDI:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 10 operations across the country, recovered as many as 1238.8 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 94.8 million and arrested 10 suspects, including 4 women, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Monday.He reported that 3.719 kg of hashish was recovered from a woman near Kak Pul, Islamabad, while 430 grams of hashish were recovered from the possession of a suspect near a university area in Lyari, Karachi.The arrested suspects confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutionsDuring another action, 1200 kg of hashish was recovered from Abdul Rahman Zai in District Pishin.As many as 1.971 kg of ice was recovered from a woman going to Bahrain at Multan Airport.Similarly,750 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel sent to Australia at a courier office on Shahra-e-Faisal, Karachi.As many as 1.2 kg of ice hidden in clothes was recovered from a parcel sent to New Zealand at a courier office in Karachi.In another action,0.579 kg of 3200 diazepam tablets were recovered from a parcel sent to France at a courier office in Kot Lakhpat, Lahore.As much as 11 kg of hashish was recovered from a truck, loaded with gravel near the Turkey Toll Plaza, and 2 suspects were arrested.During another operation,6 kg of ice and 6 kg of hashish were recovered from 2 vehicles near Pishin bus stand and 3 suspects were arrestedSimilarly,7.2 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of 2 female passengers near Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad.Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
