ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter) The international air exercise Bright Star 2023 involving naval, army and air forces held at the Mohammad Najeeb military base in Egypt, in which the Pakistan Air Force participated successfully, has come to an end. A total of 30 countries participated in the two-week exercise, including Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Greece and Qatar, among others. The Pakistan Air Force troops involved in the exercise and its latest JF-17 Thunder fighter jets performed exemplary performance. This successful participation not only reinforced PAF’s commitment to regional and international cooperation, but also highlighted its performance and capabilities in a diverse and challenging environment. Starting Bright Star is known today as a remarkable international exercise. The exercise has improved interoperability between international forces and enhanced joint training between these countries to counter regional hybrid threats. Pakistan Air Force actively participated in these exercises in view of the strategic importance of the exercise and upholding its commitment to regional stability and international cooperation. The Pakistan Air Force contingent consisting of air and grand crew demonstrated extraordinary capabilities during the exercise and showcased the capabilities of the Fakhar Pakistan JF-17 Thunder aircraft. In view of the rigorous training and realistic air combat scenarios during the exercise, the PAF also reiterated its strong operational readiness and commitment to meet the strategic challenges of today. The prominent participation of the Pakistan Air Force in this very important exercise is a proof of its strong commitment to global peace and security. It has kept its commitment to develop strong partnerships.
