While talking to media, the minister emphasised the need for the industry, universities and the defence sector to strengthen liaison and collectively contribute to the development of national economy. He maintained that the main purpose of his visit to the university was to further streamline and formalise this partnership through the establishment of a new institution namely Indigenous Research & Development Agency (IRADA) at NUST. He added that IRADA would provide a platform to all universities across Pakistan, enabling them to embark on projects that align with national interests, possess the potential for commercialisation, and contribute significantly to the country’s economy. He expressed his gratitude to NUST for hosting IRADA and providing the necessary ecosystem for its success.
