ISLAMABAD: The U.S. Embassy proudly supported this year’s FACE Music Mela Festival, facilitating a cultural exchange program that brought U.S. and Pakistani artists together. DCM Andrew Schofer highlighted the importance of partnerships with local organizations to promote Pakistan’s musical heritage while integrating American musical influences. American musicians Evan Hatfield, Bryce Lamar, and Lis Viegas collaborated with Pakistani artists, fostering cultural connections. Schofer emphasized that supporting the performing arts reflects U.S. values of tolerance and diversity, echoing a tradition of cultural exchange dating back to the 1940s. He noted that music transcends boundaries, uniting people worldwide.
