Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has paid rich tributes to ASI Nazir Ahmad of Organized Crime Unit Lahore who was martyred in the shooting of the proclaimed offender in Sundar area of Lahore. IG Punjab Dr. Usman An war attended the funeral prayer of ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed at Qila Gujar Singh, Police Lines. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Secretary Home Noor ul Amin Mengal, DIG Investigation Zeeshan Asghar, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran, SSP Organized Crime Unit Furqan Bilal and a large number of senior police officers and officials were also present. Special prayers were offered for the high ranks of Shaheed ASI. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar saluted the body of ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed, laid floral wreath. An active squad of police presented a guard of honor to the body of ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed.ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar met ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed’s son Muhammad Ahmad and other family members. IG Punjab said that ASI Nazir Ahmad has sacrificed his life in the line of duty, the department will never forget the eternal sacrifice,all possible care will be taken for the best welfare of the martyr’s family. IG Punjab further said that Punjab Police is the guardian force of 1639 martyrs like ASI Nazir Ahmad and more than 1700 brave Ghazis, priority measures are being taken for the best welfare of the families of the martyrs. IG Punjab directed that senior officers should keep close contact with the family of martyred ASI.Earlier, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. IG Punjab instructed the DIG Operations Lahore to immediately arrest the accused involved in the shooting and said that every aspect of the incident should be investigated and the accused should be arrested and punished as soon as possible. Shaheed ASI Muhammad Nazir belongs to Organized Crime Unit Chung Lahore. ASI Nazir Ahmad embraced martyrdom last night in the Sundar area due to firing by a wanted criminal.
