Lahore:On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a ceremony to assign ranks to 24 officers promoted to the rank of Inspector was held at the Central Police Office. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that the IG Punjab dedicated the ceremony to the blind daughters of the promoted Inspector Ahmad Bakhsh. Both the blind daughters of Faisalabad Inspectors Ahmad Bakhsh expressed their feelings on their father’s promotion. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, along with senior officers and under training ASPs assigned promotion ranks to the inspectors.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, senior police officers congratulated the promoted inspectors and their families. On this occasion, under training ASPs of 51st Common held a consultation session with the promoted inspectors, discussed rural and urban policing issues and experiences. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the promotion and service structure of all cadres has been formulated and more than 26 thousand promotions have been given. There will be more promotions in various police formations including CTD, Cyber ​​& Organized Crime Unit and Safe Cities. IG Punjab, while instructing the promoted officers, said that they should ensure the fearless security of Pakistan and selfless service of Pakistanis. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that they should remain a lead wall in front of terrorists, miscreants and criminals. Spokesperson for Punjab Police said that the promotion ranks were assigned to the inspectors of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal and Sheikhupura. A large number of parents, children and family members of the promoted inspectors attended the ceremony. The promoted officers expressed their gratitude to the IG Punjab. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment One Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment Two Captain (retd) Liaquat Ali Malik, ASP Defense Shahrbano Naqvi and senior officers including ASPs in training were present at the ceremony.
