Lahore:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with DSPs at the Central Police Office. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment One Suleman Sultan Rana and DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan were present on the occasion. DSPs serving in various districts, units and wings of Punjab attended. Punjab Police spokesperson said that in the meeting, officers who were deprived of promotion in the recent promotion board presented their requests. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the process of promotions on the basis of merit, seniority and transparency is continuing uninterruptedly in Punjab Police. Transparent career, complete record, field experience and intelligence reports are of key importance in the promotion of officers. The cases of officers who were deprived of promotion due to various reasons will be considered in the next board instead of one year. More than 40 seats for the post of SP are coming up soon in various wings including Safe Cities Authority, Riot Management Police and CCD. IG Punjab, while instructing the officers, said that the officers who are candidates for promotion to various posts should keep their ACRs and other records complete and serve the country and the nation with full devotion and integrity.
