Islamabad : In the year 2025, Islamabad Police achieved major successes against crime under the leadership of IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. In all important cases in the federal capital, the police took immediate action, arrested the accused and brought them to justice. According to the details, on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police successfully solved many important and high-profile cases during the year 2025. These cases included murder, kidnapping for ransom, rape of a foreign woman, bank robbery and domestic violence. Taking immediate notice of all the incidents, the IG formed special teams headed by SSP Operations, SSP Investigations and SSP CTD under the supervision of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq. The police teams solved various cases by investigating with modern technology, human intelligence and professional skills. Prominent cases in which progress was made include the murder of social media star Sana Yousuf, the blind murder of Hamza Khan, the gruesome murder of social activist Ishtiaq Abbasi, the double murder of a mother and daughter in Lohi Bher, the murder of 22-year-old student of the International Islamic University, Iman Afroz, and the murder of CIA ASI Sudhir Ahmed Abbasi. Similarly, in kidnapping-for-ransom cases, the cases of the kidnapping of a two-year-old child from Centaurus Shopping Mall and the kidnapping of two foreign nationals from the Karachi Police Station Company limits were also solved. Additionally, a suspect in the rape of a foreign woman was arrested within the limits of Aabpara police station, while the suspects involved in the bank robbery in Industrial Area police station and the house robbery in Golra police station were also arrested and stolen goods were recovered. IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi praised the police teams for their successful operations and said that thanks to the grace of God and teamwork, Islamabad Police has not only traced all major cases but also completed the challans and is continuing to get punishments from the courts. He said that the police force faced all the challenges bravely and worked hard to protect the lives and property of the citizens. He added that the police is utilizing all available resources to make the federal capital crime-free and safe, and a zero-tolerance policy will be followed against criminal elements. Islamabad Police will remain committed to its mission of serving the citizens and enforcing the law at all times.
