Editor Report

ISLAMABAD:The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad has reportedly arrested two officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for their alleged role in the illegal transfer of a CDA plot.According to an FIA spokesperson, the officials, working in collusion with other accomplices, deprived the legal owner, the late Khurshid Akhtar, of his rights.Investigators say the suspects fraudulently transferred a plot located in Sector I-12/4 to a woman identified as Khursheed Begum, instead of the original allottee, Khurshid Akhtar. The agency stated that the forgery took place in 2016 with the involvement of CDA officers. Both arrested suspects are accused of manipulating official records and facilitating the fraudulent transfer. The FIA confirmed that an investigation has been launched and raids are underway to trace and apprehend other individuals linked to the case.
