Lahore:On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to pin ranks on 60 officers promoted from Sub-Inspector to Inspector. IG Punjab pinned the ranks of Inspector on the promoted officers of Lahore Police. On this occasion, IG Punjab said that in the largest promotion board in the history of Punjab Police, 406 Sub-Inspectors have been promoted. Due to the establishment of new police units under the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, thousands of new posts and promotions have been made possible. The Government of Punjab has provided billions of rupees for Police Human Resource, Safe Cities, Logistics, and Transport. We are thankful to the Chief Minister of Punjab for her strong support of Punjab Police for the establishment of peace and crackdown against criminal elements. After CCD and Riot Management Police, through Tourism and Cyber Police Wings, hundreds of more posts and promotions will take place. The process of bulletproofing vehicles is ongoing to protect against attacks from terrorists and miscreants in tri-border areas and the ‘kacha’ regions. By next year, all cities, tehsils, and union councils of Punjab will be shifted to Safe City technology. A large number of family members of the promoted officers attended the ceremony. IG Punjab congratulated the promoted officers and their families. IG Punjab said that in return for all promotions and welfare initiatives, fearless protection of Pakistan and selfless service to people of Pakistan must be ensured. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, Commandant Police Training College Multan, and senior officers participated in the ceremony.
