201 ICT constables promoted; 11 SIs, 62 HCs & 4 Inspectors also elevated

ISLAMABAD,: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police announced a large-scale round of promotions, elevating 201 constables to head constables, while also confirming that 11 Sub-Inspectors, 62 Head Constables and four Inspectors were promoted to senior ranks.An official told APP on Sunday that the 201 newly promoted head constables belong to the General Executive Cadre, C-II General Cadre, Motor Transport (Driver Constables), Wireless Staff, Wireless (Mechanic), and Band Staff. These promotions were recommended by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and approved by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.The notification issued by the ICT Police Establishment Branch stated that all promoted constables will remain on probation for two years under Police Rule 1934 (13-18).In addition, officials recalled that the same promotion cycle also elevated 11 Sub-Inspectors to Inspector (BS-16), 62 Head Constables to Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11), and four Inspectors to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP, BS-17).Police officers and personnel expressed satisfaction, noting that the wave of promotions has boosted morale, motivation, and confidence across the force. Officials said it reflects the IGP’s commitment to merit, welfare, and professional growth of the ICT Police.
